Christmas Day '09

Christmas Day was very "layed back". Got up leisurely, had breakfast, watched movies, played games then had a late lunch and Nate, Ten and the boys left. Such a nice time !!!
When the boys arrived they gave me VERY special Christmas gifts. Made with their own little hands !
Ryan built this martin house for me because he knows I LOVE birds:O)
Reed made me this special little Christmas tree that is now hanging over our kitchen table.
Reed "working out" while watching the Sugar Creek Gang
Figuring out the new game Monopoly Deal that we got Ten
Fun "frustrating" game !!!
Not sure Nate was going to get to go home with his wife after THAT game !
(After the 2nd game I wasn't sure I would let him stay HERE, either !!!)

After the game we sat down and watched "UP". Cute movie!
Ten had seen the movie so she took her book down by the fire. They have a very cold house so they ALL enjoyed the "warm" atmosphere of our home :O)
We had a wonderful Christmas.... Trust everyone else did too :O)

Christmas Eve '09

Christmas Eve Nate, Tenille and the boys came out for the evening and spent the night. We had such a good time. We had pizza for supper then read the Christmas story and opened gifts.
Before supper the boys and Grandpa went down by the fire and played with Reed's tinker toys.

When we got ready to read the Christmas story,Ryan voluneered to read. He is growing up! He did such a good job!!
More tinker toys. Reed LOVES anything he can build with
Sugar Creek Gang movie
Monopoly Deal A FUN game !
An incredible book for Nate
Nuts, gift card and movies for Grandpa
Reeding directions and building a car
What a TEAM !
finishing touches
The finished product
What can I say ?!!?!?!?

Home For the Holidays

The week of Christmas is always so special around our church ( as I am sure it is with all churches). College kids come home. Kids that grew up in our church and have married, come home for the holidays, and they come to church. Last night was no exception!! Many familiar faces that we haven't seen in a LONG time were at church last night. What a special time.
Merry Christmas everyone!

She's Growing !!

Lucky is really growing ! She is about 4 months old now. We still are really enjoying her, but there have been a few little issues.... MAINLY that she wants to bite a lot! She absolutely HATES being brushed but because of her coat she NEEDS brushing regularly. She bites and scratches the whole time I am brushing her so I have started wearing gloves. That helps a lot, BUT after brushing she is in a REALLY BAD mood and every time she gets close to us she BITES !!!! It is trial and error.... If ANYONE has advice we are open for ANY ideas. She is still mostly outside but comes in a couple times a day for a "visit". These were taken today.

A VERY Special Service !!!

Our Pastor's wife is dealing with a very serious brain cancer. Most of you know that and have been praying for her and her family. Thank you so much and as you can see from these pictures, God is answering! Who would have ever guessed that after the week she last last week , that she would be in church last night !!! She is very weak but not in any pain. We are SO thankful that she was able to be there. It's just not the same without her!

She got a standing ovation when she came off the elevator !!!
She stood for several minutes and gave the sweetest testimony
Several of us had to get our pictures taken with our Hero, a TRUE Proverbs 31 LADY !!
What an example she is to us !!!
Here are just a couple with ones I KNOW check my blog :O)
