Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall

Today I went to Richland to see the Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and Museum. It is here until Aug. 2nd. It was very moving. I would recommend going to see it. The wall is a half-scale replica -exact to the letter and inch-of the original Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. It travels across America. It has 58,000 names on it.

I can't think of the Vietnam war without thinking of James W Herrick Jr. Jim was from my hometown and his younger brother was my classmate and friend from K-12. I just had to go see it and also pay my respects to these HEROS of our country and think of the sacrifice they and their families have made.

Bus Sunday

Yesterday was bus Sunday at church. What a precious day. A video about our buses.
Rewards for special riders, rewards for workers,
and a special choir song with all the bus kids singing with the choir.
The bus ministry is truly the heartbeat of our church.

The 2 and 3yr olds didn't sing with the group but filed through at the end of the song.

On the way back to Sarah's last night about 6 there were bikers all the way back to Brighton.
Just a couple of miles from Lockridge I took this picture. I just had to laugh!

What It's ALL About !

We had so much fun yesterday, BUT all the fun, work, water, lemonade, cherry limeade were a very small part of what we did !
It is ALL about THIS!

Along with every drink and water bottle filled went a tract! Because of his love for biking, Preacher wrote a tract with a picture of him in his biking outfit and with biking terms. What a perfect tract for this occassion. The bikers accepted them very willingly. Please pray that God will use these in each one of these biker's lives.

Great Bunch of Teens

What a great bunch of teens we have. They worked non-stop from 12:30-5. What servants they were. Many bikers complemented them on their courtesy and how kind they were. We went through at least 300 GALLONS of water!!!! What a time we had!

Evening with the Hanna's

Saturday we went up to the Hanna's for the evening. Their van isn't working and "Dr. Myron" went to check it out. NOT good news! But, hopefully we will get it running for them!

Had a great supper and lots of great fellowship.

After supper we went outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
  • Travis was trying to tickle "Nana" with a weed.
  • Mom and Dad picking some yummy veggies for us to take home
  • Caleb with his very own corn
  • The family
  • Ally bringing me "flowers"
  • Ally with her chickens
  • The boys showing off the eggs they gathered
  • Trav on the glider
(remember you can click on the picture to enlarge it)

Caught this sunset reflection in the the garage window.... Beautiful!

"Thank you, Lord for your blessings on me"
Beautiful weather in mid-July, Amazing sunsets, and Wonderful friends!

Thanks for the wonderful evening Kevin and Candace!
