We Had Some Wind Last Night!

Last night I was almost asleep in my chair when the wind really came up! It was REALLY blowing and then I heard a LOT of racket.... It brought me up out of my chair totally freaked out! Then as I woke up more I thought it must have been just because I was almost asleep and that had made it sound worse than it was because it was over pretty fast.... Then  at noon today Myron asked me " Did you see what the wind did last night?" I went out behind the garage and THIS is what I found! We are so thankful that it was away from the house. It landed on a tractor that Myron was getting ready to overhaul and sell... NOW we need to replace the glass in the cab :O/
 

 

 

 

1st Anniversary!

Sunday night was our Preacher's 1st anniversary as our pastor!
What a blessing it has been to watch him grow in the Lord
 God has truly blessed us with this precious family!
Looking forward to seeing what God has in store for this next year!

Adair Turbines

Fourth of July Myron and I made a trip to see his dad. On the way we drove by MANY wind turbines that were in the process of being erected.  We decided to stop and take a look. We both are very facinated by them.

This first picture is one that was taken a few weeks ago. This will help you see the finished product so that you can see the pieces all put together.

 The pieces were laying around separately so we can see the size of each piece. I tried to get Myron beside each piece so you can see how BIG they are.

I don't know the names of the pieces, so bare with me....

Puff and Bobbi Hopper

My Wilma-Friend's kitty just had a littler of kittens.... they really didn't need anymore cats ( NOT that we did either, but I wanted some new "color" in our menagerie!! :O)   )
So I told her if they were yellow or calico I would LOVE to have them....
Coming from a yellow mama it was a safe bet I was getting some new kitties!
When Puff was tiny, she looked just like "Puff" from the Dick and Jane books I grew up with....

Bobbi has NO tail.... she got that trait from her mama.
She is SO cute... because of not having a tail she HOPS when she starts running!

 

 

I am SURE once again, I will probably bore everyone with new kitten  pictures for a while!!!  

39 Years Ago

I cannot believe that 39 years ago tonight I was walking down the isle to my sweetheart!  As I did, I didn't have a CLUE what a blessing God was giving me!
The godly man that would lead and guide our family.
The one who would walk with me through the valleys as well as up on the mountain tops!
Through the tears and the joys...
For Richer and poorer
In sickness and in health!
39 years later, I praise God for this man that walks with God,
and still walks hand in hand with me!
Happy Anniversary, Honey! I love you so much more today

Last Saturday, Heidi Swaffer became Mrs. Schwend in a lovely ceremony!
She was a beautiful bride. I am SO happy for them.
